The Purpose

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." (Acts 20:24)

In this Scripture, Paul gave utmost importance to the task that Jesus gave to him and to the other disciples that he even considered his life worthless if he will not be able to complete it. Remember what Jesus told the eleven disciples before ascending to heaven, The Great Commission, Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

We may have different callings. Some are called to be teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, leaders, campus missionaries, or pastors. But whatever our calling may be, we share with the same task given to apostle Paul, and that is, "testifying to the gospel of God's grace." To lead them to Christ. To show them the power of God's unfailing love. To give our testimonies of how God's grace transformed even the littlest things in our lives.

The blood of Christ has already been shed. His blood saved us from God's judgment (Romans 5:9), gave us the forgiveness for our sins (Ephesians 1:7), freed us from our sins (Revelations 1:5), cleansed us from our every sin (1 John 1:7), and brought us near to God (Ephesians 2:13). Jesus said, "It is finished." (John 19:30)

Still, the enemy tries to lure us into temptation. He tries to destroy our lives and overpower us. But he cannot overcome the blood of Jesus. He's no match for that. So he's trying to overcome us by destroying our testimonies.

It says in Revelations 12:11, "They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." We can overpower the enemy through the blood of Jesus and through our testimonies. The blood of Christ has already covered us. Now, we just have to protect our testimonies and share it to everyone. Everyone needs to hear of the wondrous works of God, of how mighty God's grace works in our lives.

I hope we could all finish the race that God has marked out for us and complete this task that God has given us before we see Him again. All for God's glory!

----------------------------

That is the main purpose of this blog - to share my testimony. To tell my story of God's faithfulness and the overflowing grace in my life. Even in other people's lives (If I could share testimonies of other people, why not?). I am in my fullest hope that people will find this blog inspiring and moving. I hope that more people would know that God is working powerfully in the lives of each and everyone of us.

This blog was created a few weeks ago yet I really waited for something to keep it going. And here it is. The motivation and the purpose. :) I am Alexandra Leonardo from Victory Los Baños. Christ's Ambasadress. I live to serve others and glorify God. This is my story. :)
